Winter tryouts are January 17th at 5:30 pm, in the Blue Activity Area of the PAC. Make sure you review the "TRYOUTS" page for information.

Warrior Success!

The Waterloo Warrior Cheerleaders competed at the UONCC in the final weekend of November. The Warriors had a difficult first run, which put them at a large disadvantage moving into the second round. The Warriors put on a glorious show with their second run, showing that they are a mighty team indeed. However, they were unable to undo the damage from the first round and finished the compeition in 5th place.

The Warriors had spectacular performances in other areas of the competition. Cassandra and Nicole competed in the female tumbling competition where Cassandra claimed 1st place. Theresa and Kyle and Chris and Alison competed in the partner stunt competition where Theresa and Kyle were able to claim 1st place in the Coed Collegiate division.

The Warriors now head into a training season where they hope to expand their skills and train their many rookies to raise the bar next year at nationals.

Welcome to the new home of the Waterloo Warriors Cheerleading team online. We hope to use this site to integrate all our sources of media. YouTube videos, Facebook networking, alumni announcements, online photo albums and member access to chat boards will all be centrally located here at waterloocheerleading.com.

Winter Schedule

We will appear at home mens and womens basketball games as well as several events during the winter term. Come help us support our teams.

The opening game at Waterloo Field was a huge success, with the unvieling of the new scoreboard, bleachers, and student fan club. The football team won a decisive victory, and the school is excited to see their success continue.

We Are Warriors is a group dedicated to creating a sense of community at the University of Waterloo through support of our athletic programs, and fan support. Any student can join the Facebook group, just click the icon and follow the steps.

With our new structure, the best way for alumni to contact the team is by joining our Alumni Facebook Group. Here we will post new information about the team, and will be able to send you group messages about important upcoming events. It is a far better networking tool than any of us (even at UW) could come up with.
